Poppas Playhouse – building a playhouse at low cost.

My dad built us a playhouse when we were kids.  I drove by the old house today and was shocked to see it was no longer there. 30 some odd years later and I honestly expected to see it still standing. He builds things to last. Thankfully, I still have photos and more importantly, incredible memories.

The Garbage Garden

I wanted to do some sort of mural on the playhouse and thought it would be fun to see what I could make using recyclables and scrap metal.

The Enchanted Forest

As a Mother and Early Childhood Educator, I have always been interested in finding ways to engage our children in play.  I love the outdoors, love to get messy and thought that the nice little wooded area in the front of our house would be a great place to create a variety of ‘play stations’ for our kids.  Each area has been made with almost all recycled or ‘found’ materials.
