I bought some cheese cloth from the dollar store.
We put it on a tray (we use boot trays for activities like this)
I set up some food colouring and small containers of water.
Use squeeze bottles or eye droppers if you’d prefer to water down your dye.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have LOVED Shrink Art.
My 14 year old daughter made these ones with me today. Aren’t they pretty?
Simply draw, cut and bake!
We put holes in ours before baking and then hung them from a branch in the window.
You’ll need a silicone candy mold set.
I bought this set at Michaels for $22 -minus 50% off with the coupon on the app.
I will have a TON of different ideas for how to use these molds! They’re a fabulous add to your craft cupboard.
Carefully – Fill each section with hot glue!

When I went to contest winner Kathys house, I thought I’d be doing a little makeover of her small home daycare space… (see the first post below)
Playground Makeover – Before and After -Part 1
I painted these rocks today and the kids loved how they turned out.
(Minus the little. He had a sort of ‘love/hate’ thing going on. Quite honestly, I think they scared him a little.)
Collect flat rocks and wash them, then set them out to dry.
Once they’re completely dry, use acrylic paint and paint roads. Use multiple coats. I applied white first, then grey and then added the yellow lines.
Go for a walk and grab an old dead branch.
Whittle and lightly sand. Hot glue clothespins on, attatch hooks.
Easy, low cost and really pretty!
