Playground Makeover Part 2 – ‘The Little Nest Diner’

When I went to contest winner Kathys house, I thought I’d be doing a little makeover of her small home daycare space… (see the first post below)

Playground Makeover – Before and After -Part 1

After talking to her about this space, I noticed a beautiful green hilly area, behind her home, and asked who it belonged to. It belongs to Kathy!

And now, it’s mine to ‘play’ with!

Kathy was thrilled with the idea of creating a play area on this space. She even arranged for some of the parents (of children in her care) to come help with the prep! (Thank you!❤️)

I decided to work under that big tree (off to the right of the above picture) The perfect spot for a mud kitchen/diner area.

Have a look!

I added a lot of ‘real furniture’ to this one, so that Kathy could move most of it indoors for the winter.

The kids seemed to love the spot!

What do you think?

Thanks for reading and sharing!

Up next… Turning a hill into a Climber!

The littles look like they are having such fun. What a great outdoor space. This reinforces the course I’m taking on Outdoor Play – this weeks focus being outdoor environment and creating an inclusive play space…..so this is such a wonderful example of this. I did share your site as a great example of where I get my inspiration from 🙂
