DIY Simple Stove Top

If creating a big mud kitchen seems like too much work… start with a simple stove top.

This one is light and easy to move around (on the deck, at the beach, out in the woods etc…) Add a few pots and pans and you can set up a little kitchen space just about anywhere!

Grab a chunk of wood. This one came from my dads saw mill shed.

Sand it.

Stencil on your burner circles (I traced around two different sized plates)

And here’s a ‘trick’.  Take the coils off of an old stove at the dump and use them as stencils.

This is a subitizing stove top! See!

What do you think? Have you made a mud kitchen? I’d love to hear about it!
