Have I mentioned lately how much I love old dead branches?

The building and creating possibilities are endless.

As I was making a set of blocks from some branches I’d been drying out, I decided to paint a few.

I’ve been planning to send a gift to a couple little guys for awhile now and since I found out that they love the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I decided that I’d make them a set.

I painted the sanded down branch blocks with a watered down acrylic and drew faces on with a white pencil crayon.

I painted them, scuffed the edges with a sander and then put two coats of Mod Podge on to seal and protect.
