I’m going to do this post a little backwards.
Let me show you what I made….
Blocks. Wonderful curvy, curly blocks! Seriously… This has to be my favourite upcycled project yet. The kids absolutely love them. You can set them up so they look like a roller coaster – or lay them flat like a maze.
So can you imagine what it was before I turned it in to this set of blocks?
I’ll give you a clue.
Here’s another project I made with it.
Got it yet?
Here they are taking it apart and washing the pieces.
It was a rocking chair!
Even better, it was a free rocking chair!
We took it apart, cleaned up the pieces, cut (some of) them with a hand saw, sanded them and added a beeswax finish.
Super easy and they are now our favourite set of blocks!
Want to win a set of mixed chair blocks?

I’ll draw a random name at the end of March.
What have you upcycled lately? I’d love to hear about your creations!
Thanks for reading and sharing!

And truly very easy! The pieces don’t necessary need to be cut even! Good luck – I hope you find another soon!

I knew as soon as I saw the curves they came from a bentwood rocker. Creative idea!
