This old crib was starting to fall apart, and since the baby, who’s just over a year, never actually slept in it anyways (why sleep in a crib when you can sleep between mom and dad everynight😜) … We decided to take it apart.
Seeing it in pieces made my mind race with creative possibilities.
I started by pulling off the spindles.
I marked each spindle in the spot where I planned to cut, counting out the bumps between so that I’d have 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1…
I used a small hand saw to cut the spindles.
I sanded the rough ends and a little in each spot where I was planning to add a number.
I stuck the stickers on and added a few layers of mod Podge over top.
I added buttons for counting and a burlap bag doubles as storage and a work mat.
There are so many ways to use this activity. How would you use it?
