Magnetic Exploration Frame – Easy and Inexpensive!

This is a favourite activity of mine (and the kids 😉

See it here https://youtu.be/_GpGYfv12gY

It costs very little to make and takes just a few minutes to put together.

You will need….

A clear table cloth protector (dollar store)

Crafty stuff.  Pom-poms, feathers, pipe cleaners, ribbon, buttons, glitter -whatever.

Magnets and/or stickers and magnetic sheets

A wooden spoon and large magnet

Hooks and twine

Open up the table cloth protector and decide how big you want it to be.  Fold it at least once so that you can put your items inside.

Like this…

Add and add and add some more…

I added photos to the mix so that Phoebe could move things around and try to find our hidden faces 🙂

Fold the edges of the table protector and tape them shut.  Then using a staple gun, staple it to the back of an old frame.

For a magnetic wand, super glue a large magnet to the back of a wooden spoon.

Add some hooks and twine to the frame and it’s ready to go!

It’s super light weight and easy to take in and out of the classroom. It can also be used as a table top activity.
